- The Company's object is to Manufacture porcelain ceramic glass and glass fibre insulators.

- The Company was promoted by M.D. Kanuri a technocrat entrepreneur as a joint venture with Andhra Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation Limited (APIDC) for the manufacture of high tension insulators for electrical transmission and distribution lines from 11 KV to 440 KV.

- The Company entered into a technical collaboration agreement with Doulton Insulators Ltd. U.K. who agreed to transfer technical know-how and provide technical services for the manufacture of high tension insulators. In consideration for the supply of technical know-how and technical services.

- The company is permitted to export the products to all countries except U.K. Egypt and Korea.

1983 - 70 shares subscribed for by the signatories of Memorandum & Articles of Association. 4 59 930 shares taken up by M.D. Kanuri and his associates and 4 80 000 shares allotted to APIDC. 9 00 000 shares offered at par for public subscription during July.

1984 - 4 60 000 rights equity shares issued at par in May in the prop. 26 shares: Rs.1 000 paid up capital. Only 3 16 121 shares taken up. Out of the balance 1 43 879 shares 86 950 shares were allotted to friends and associates of the Company.

1985 - 1 20 000 No. of equity shares issued at par and allotted to promoters. 36 300 shares forfeited and these were reissued.

1987 - 3 30 000 shares issued to the promoters to comply with the stipulation set by IDBI while sanctioning additional term loan to the company.

1990 - The Company made a reference to BIFR under Section 15(1) of the Sick Industrial Companies (Special Provision) Act. 1985 regarding rehabilitation of the Company.

1991 - The Company was forced to suspend operations on 17th November 1990 and declared a lock-out with effect from 1st March on account of inadequate additional working capital. - IDBI was appointed as an operating agency to recommend a suitable rehabilitation package.
