- The main object of the Company is to Manufacture pre-painted cold rolled steel profiles for use in doors windows partitions and railings.

- The Company entered into an agreement with M/s. Industries Secco S.p.A. Italy for the transfer of technical know-how designs and drawings engineering services training start up assistance production and development assistance to enable the Company to manufacture prepainted cold rolled steel and profiles suitable for doors windows railings and fences and accessories for assembly locking and movement.

1988 - 1 100 Shares subscribed for by promoters etc. 42 88 900 shares were then allotted:

- (i) 97 500 shares to NCL industries Ltd;

- (ii) 1 00 000 shares to NRIs on repatriation basis;

- (iii) 13 66 400 shares to Indian resident directors their friends etc. and

- (iv) 3 85 000 shares to APIDC. Out of the remaining 23 40 000 shares the following shares were reserved for preferential allotment:

- (i) 2 14 500 shares to employees etc./workers of the Company and those of promoter companies (only 8 900 shares taken up);

- (ii) 2 34 000 shares to shareholders of promoter companies (only 1 56 100 shares taken up) and

- (iii) 2 50 000 shares to UTI (all were taken up). The balance 16 41 500 shares along with the unsubscribed portion of 2 83 500 shares out of the preferential quota were offered for public subscription during January 1989. Additional 3 51 000 shares were allotted to the public to retain oversubscription.

1991 - 9 28 200 No. of equity shares allotted at par (Prop. 1:5).

1992 - The Company created additional infrastructure for conversion of the profiles into doors and windows.

- The Company also had taken up the manufacture of profiles for false ceiling partitions low cost doors and prefab housing.

1994 - The Company introduced shutter sliding window system which received good market response.

2002- K Madhu resigns as MD from the Board of NCL Seccolor.
