Company History: The company runs a sugar factory and a Varanaspati factory. In addition to a number of other units like oil factory gas factory paints factory and lanterns factory. Sugars is manufactured by double sulphitation as well as double Carboration process. some of the Products manufactured by the company are sugar molasses oils spirits vanaspati paints varnish lanterns soaps cosmetics glycerine stearic acid oxygen and acetylene gas. The company proposed to enter oil drilling activity in collaboration with Santa fe International corporation of USA. Modi supplies corporation Ltd and Modi Food Products LTd. were amalgamated with the company on 1st August and 1st october 1956 respectively. Own Investments (I) Ltd and Your Investments (I) Ltd are wholly owned Subsidiaries of the company. The name of the company was changed from Modi Sugar Mills Ltd. to the present one with effect from 20th January 1964. |
