Company History: Our Company incorporated as Varun Continental Limited on March 8 1996 and received the Certificate for Commencement of Business on March 15 1996 from the Registrar of Companies Maharashtra Mumbai. Our registered office earlier located at Dwarkesh Market Dr. A.M. Road Near Central Bank Bhuleshwar Mumbai - 400 002 was shifted to its present location w.e.f. July 24 1996.Our Company is promoted by Mr. Kiran Mehta Mr. Kailash Agarwal and Mr. Virendra Mehta with the main object to carry on the business of manufacturers exporters importers and traders in stainless steel kitchenware and houseware items. Our Company took over Varun Exports the proprietorship concern of Mr. Kiran N. Mehta on April 10 1996 which had been in the business of exports of stainless steel utensils.Our Company changed its name to Varun Industries Limited and received a fresh certificate of incorporation as on April 21 2005. Today our Company has a wide range of 1500 varieties of kitchenware houseware tableware cutlery and other items of various types. We procure these products by a network of 80 dedicated suppliers spread across the country and we are exporting these products to many countries all across the globe.
As a process of backward integration and to increase our profit margin we have planned to develop an inhouse manufacturing and warehousing facility at Vasai (E) District Thane near Mumbai and a Stainless Steel Sheet Re-rolling Mill at Jodhpur. We expect to commence our commercial production from both these manufacturing units in September 2007.
Recently we have ventured into other businesses like electricity generation through windmill. We are also venturing into exporting of agro based products hydroelectric power generation iron and ore mining and oil and gas drilling. Further looking at the prospects of industry we are planning to foray into the domestic market by supplying our products to various retail chains.
