The company manufactures jute hessian gunny bags all types of rubber and PVC cables both domestic and heavy duty type PILC (Paper Insulated Lead Covered) power cables and mining trailing railway signalling and other special types of cables and rubber goods.

In 1983-84 production declined to 30 220 tonnes mainly due to an industry-wide strike from 16th January 1984 to 7th April 1984.

A section of the workers again went on a strike from 15th December 1983 to the end of january 1984 which hampered production.
